Vintage Christmas Monday~ Number 3

{These are chalk/plaster sheep from large size nativity scenes. I have collected them one or two at a time over the years. They are on my mantle all year round.

Above them is a gable piece from a house built in LaPorte, Indiana in 1892.}

  2. Love the sheep, my maiden name is shepherd and it always reminds me of the Shepherd watching over his flock, each and everyone.
    I bought some for the shop this year...and seems no one is buying them and they are really wonderful.
    Hey, I can always keep them myself!
    Thanks for sharing and I will post my shopkeepers vintage Christmas a little bit later, it's ready to go!

  21. I love those bucolic little guys! Can we see a photo of your whole mantle? I also checked out your last couple of posts and love your snowmen and the heart ornament. Yes, I have trouble throwing things away! I have a feeling you must be very organized because you can actually find the things you save to make beautiful projects with them!
